Scientists have confirmed what your computer has been trying to tell you for years: the more tabs you open, the less you accomplish. In a study of 1,200 knowledge workers, those with 15 or more tabs open reported completing 34% fewer tasks and making 61% more "what was I doing?" noises.
The phenomenon, now called tab hoarding disorder, affects an estimated 70% of office workers. Symptoms include chronic RAM depletion, inability to locate the "one tab with the thing," and a persistent belief that you will read all of these articles later.
